Assisted ventilation required immediately following delivery is described as the infant being given manual breaths for any duration with bag and mask or bag and endotracheal tube within the first several minutes from birth. Seizure is any involuntary repetitive, convulsive movement or behavior and serious neurologic dysfunction is severe alteration of alertness. Significant birth injury includes skeletal fracture(s), peripheral nerve injury, and/or soft tissue or solid organ hemorrhage that requires intervention and present immediately following or soon after delivery.
